Hi everybody just a quick update to let you know that my heinkel tourist is now finished after two and a half years, the only problem i am having is that the ignition light stays which i will investigate further, she rides beautifully and i am so pleased with the colour of the bodywork but wished i had gone for a darker colur with the leather seat as she scuffs really easy, i am gonna get a clear plastic cover made to protect the seat as she will be in  regular use.

I have Started fitting the newly sprayed panels, i need to get my carburetter cleaned and seat recovered along with new number plates made

My heinkel tourist is now running at long last although a little sluggish. It sounds as if it may be a fuel problem, i will take the carburetter off and completely dismantel it then put it into my friends ultrasonic cleaner maybe this will cure the running problem. The panels have been completed and look absolutley superb so ounce the carb is sorted i can start putting the body panels back on. The 12v clock from the dash will need a little work on it and the final two things will be rebuilding the seat and having new number plates made then it time for the mot , i will post pictures when the panels are in situ
